The Edelrid Taipan 9.8mm climbing rope is made with reused sheath yarns leftover from production. In an upcycling process, up to 95% of high-quality leftover yarns are reused. Rather than discarding them, the sheath yarns leftover from standard products are used to make new ropes. This significantly reduces the amount of waste. And as the color of the leftover yarns cannot be planned in advance, each Taipan production batch has a unique color mix.
